Head to Downtown South Bend for First Fridays! During the first Friday of every month, from 5-9 PM, First Fridays holds a themed event that contains live music performances, art galleries, and kid-friendly crafts and games. These events are typically free – making it the perfect weekend kick-off event for college students on a budget.

Consider yourself a real warrior? Put yourself to the test at Evil Czech Brewery. This public house may have a relaxed and laid back atmosphere, but at its heart it has a fighting spirit that is ready to tackle any culinary challenge. Evil Czech Brewery has fought valiantly to bring food from the farm to your table, ultimately using this fresh food to recreate comforting classics that would satisfy even the hardiest of soldiers.

Established in 1984, CJ’s Pub is home to the famous “Super Pub Burger.” This mouthwatering, half-pound delicacy was featured in multiple news outlets, from The Food Network to Sports Illustrated. The inside of these juicy burgers are filled with gooey, melted cheese. Visit this pub and watch the game, sample what’s on tap at CJ’s full-service bar, and party the night away!

Got moves? Finnies Next Door is a club where you can show off your dancing skills while listening to diverse music genres, selected by our live DJ. “New Finnies” is within walking distance from Four Winds Field and the University of Notre Dame campus, so you can head directly to the club without having to worry about finding a ride back. When you’re tired from dancing, take a break and drink expertly crafted cocktails within their bar and lounge. The upstairs section also offers a wide selection of games, so you can transition from dancing to an epic round of pool, darts, or air hockey.

Named after the legendary, world-renowned stone in Cork, Ireland, you don’t have to kiss this Blarney Stone to have a good time! “Old Finnies” is a family-owned bar that is the prime place for students to let loose after a week of stressful tests and essays. While Olfs may be packed during the weekends, that doesn’t stop the bartenders and staff from providing nonstop quality service to each and every customer.

The Fighting Irish like to fight hard and party harder. On game days, University of Notre Dame students and South Bend football fans begin piling into the parking lots as early as 7 AM. That’s right – tailgating here is an all-day event. Get yourself pumped for the game as you drink and listen to the talented Band of the Fighting Irish perform traditional Notre Dame marching songs.
